Phthalate Free Vinyl CD/DVD Sleeves and pockets come in a variety of sizes, colors, and thicknesses but generally, the sleeves are made in 7.5 mil clear plastic. This plastic is manufactured without using the plasticizers that have been identified in CPSIA. Those particular plasticizers (phthalates) have been linked to potential risks for children or are a risk if the PVC is disposed of improperly, especially by burning.

Phthalates have been severely restricted in the CPSIA and RoHS guidance such that no product that is for a child may contain more than 100 parts per million of the phthalates. Anyone with a young child is most safe in using these pvcfree, phthalate free, or poly (PP) products.
